These terms govern your use of FarmToTable.ca. By browsing the site, subscribing to the newsletter, or claiming a listing, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

The directory

FarmToTable.ca is an editor-curated directory of farms, markets, CSA programmes, and farm-to-table restaurants. Listings are compiled from public sources, partner imports, and owner submissions. We make a reasonable effort to keep information accurate but make no warranties about hours, availability, certifications, or operational status. Verify directly with the business before you make plans.

Acceptable use

Don’t scrape the directory in bulk. Don’t submit fake listings. Don’t use the site to harass any business or any other user. Don’t attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or payment processing. Reasonable, polite, human-paced use is welcome.

Farm owner accounts

If you claim a listing, you confirm you are authorised to represent the business. We may require verification (phone code, meta tag, or document) before publishing your changes. Submissions are subject to editorial review. We may decline to publish, or remove, any content that violates these terms or that we believe is misleading.

Premium subscriptions

Premium and Standard tier listings are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel any time from your subscription dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don’t pro-rate refunds for partial periods.

Content ownership

You retain ownership of the descriptions, photos, and other material you upload. You grant FarmToTable.ca a non-exclusive licence to display that material in connection with your listing, in newsletter excerpts, and in social-media previews. You can revoke this licence by closing your account; we’ll remove your content within 30 days.

Limitation of liability

The directory is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FarmToTable.ca is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including any harm caused by reliance on listing information. Nothing here limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or matters that can’t be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continued use after the change date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, except where applicable consumer law gives you a non-waivable right to a local forum.
